A project charter has to be signed by the project stakeholders to acknowledge agreement and need and intent of the project so, it is important to let the other organization know their project was selected. This document  helps the project manager to communicate his authority and explain to project participants and stakeholders why the project is needed, who it involves, how long the project will take to complete, how much it will cost, what resources are needed and how successful completion of the project will help the organization.

Every project is unique in its own way so are the approaches in project management, it has different requirements and needs. Organizations should develop their own information technology project management methodologies hence these differences, they know what works for what project and what it may need. Organizations often spend time and money on training but after training project manager may still not know how to put forward their skills to the organization’s needs. Books normally incorporate out dated materials and may be insufficient; this information can be confusing and also time consuming.

I believe recent college graduates should not expect to become a project manager right away except that they have a great deal of experience working on previous projects. College Graduates with no experience would have difficulty proving their abilities and expertise. A project manager needs previous experience working on a project as well as organizational skills.

A typical career path for a project manager would be a team member in projects. They can proceed to do that for a few years demonstrating leadership skills and developing organizational skills, with this development they can become a co-leader with the goal to become a successful project manager.

According to indeed.com the average salary for a non-experienced Project Manager in South Florida is $86,000. A senior project manager can be expected to receive a salary of around $98,000
